Tommy Bond, as Jimmy Olsen, with Kirk Alyn in the 1948 SUPERMAN serial. Tommy previously played the Our Gang / Little Rascals bully Butch Bond.

Golly, Mr. Kent, Jack Larson made a great Jimmy Olsen on THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN TV series, beginning in 1953.

A crew cutted Jimmy, in the comics, in 1955.

Jack Larson, as he appeared in the final seasons of the ADV OF SUPERMAN TV series.

My favorite Jimmy Olsen comic book stories were always when he drank the special serum, invented by Professor Potter, which turned him into Elastic Lad. Here's a frame from the very first Elastic Lad story in 1958.

Even Jimmy has bad days at the office. Case in point, this comic from 1959.

Elastic Lad returns in 1959. Another fantastic story.

Another appearance of Jimmy Olsen as The Elastic Lad of Metropolis.

Always the freckle-faced Cub Reporter. Here he is in 1962.

1966 marked the first time Jimmy appeared in a cartoon series on Filmation's THE NEW ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN. The likeness stuck pretty close to the comics, except his freckles were lost. Jack Grimes voiced the Cub Reporter.

Marc McClure in 1978's SUPERMAN THE MOVIE as Jimmy Olsen, newspaper photographer wannabe.

Marc McClure returned as Jimmy Olsen in SUPERMAN II (1981). He is the only actor from the films to play their character five times, after appearing in 1984's SUPERGIRL also.

A little bit older, but still a photographer. Marc McClure in SUPERMAN III (1983).

Marc McClure, still employed at The Planet, in SUPERMAN IV (1987).

Michael Landes played Jimmy Olsen in 1993 on LOIS AND CLARK: THE NEW ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN. Unfortunately, his tenure as the Cub Reporter would only last one season. Here he's pictured with Teri Hatcher.

Justin Whalen took over the role of Jimmy Olsen for the final three seasons of LOIS AND CLARK: THE NEW ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN from 1994-1997.

On Episode 70 of LOIS AND CLARK, entitled "Brutal Youth", Jimmy ages into his sixties and is played by 50's Jimmy Jack Larson. Here in a rare shot with young Jimmy Justin Whalen. The Episode originally aired October 20, 1996.

Jimmy Olsen as he appeared on the SUPERMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES cartoon and in it's comicbook namesake from 1997-1999. His voice was provided by David Haufman on the cartoon.

Perhaps my favorite Jimmy portrayal. Sam Huntington in 2006's SUPERMAN RETURNS.
