One of the most unique things to be featured in both Kirk Alyn Superman serials was when The Man Of Steel was in flight he was animated. This effect was very well-done for the time and added to the fantasy of Superman.
For the first serial SUPERMAN in 1948, Kirk Alyn's name was never even listed in the credits. It simply said "Superman". This was to preserve the illusion for the young movie goers of the time.

Together again! Kirk Alyn and Noel Neil, the screen's first Superman and Lois, as they appeared on the set of SUPERMAN THE MOVIE in 1978. Their cameo appearances were subsequently edited out due to the tremendous length of the movie.
The cameos cut from the film's final release: Kirk Alyn and Noel Neill play a young Lois Lane's parents on the train in 1978's SUPERMAN THE MOVIE. The footage was finally restored for the 2001 DVD release.
